Hi everyone,
I have a v70 tdi (d5252t) doing a cambelt, water pump, fuel pump change etc. aux belt is off, and so is the starter motor. As the Haynes manual suggests sticking a bolt into the hole in the face of the flywheel before trying to undo the crank pulley bolt, my question is that what should I do since the hole in the flywheel is not visible at top dead centre? Should I put the bolt in just for initially undoing the bolt then get it back to tdc for the rest of the job? But even then it won't be locked unless I have the bolt in the flywheel.
So slightly confused as what to do. All advice greatly appreciated.
