    Turtle wax ice omg.

I have been using the meguiars gold for years until today when I got some turtle wax ice this stuff is on another level ,you can put it on in direct sunlight use it on plastics and rubber it is easy to get off too. The shine from this stuff is unbelievable its like glass no swirls at all and it was only £11.99 from motorworld comes with a good size microfiber cloth and applier the tube is huge too and I have used bugger all doing my car so its going to last way longer than the meguiars for half the price.

Yes and no. The wax does give protection but the Polymers link and reflect light in such a way as to enhance the shine. I've seen this with my own eyes and it's basic science!

Yes I agree but, the only we see the true benifit of any top coat is by haveing a properly prepared surface to put it on, I still laugh at all these people that bost about polishing there cars every other week, its totally pointless and the people that do this have no real clue about detailing.
    Thanks

I agree that proper basic preparation is important, my point really is that a good quality wax does a lot more than just forming a protective barrier.

Yip, but you will struggle to get a good quality wax from halfords. hd AG is probably the only decent one they might sell.
graeme I noticed yesterday that black fire have a new wax out for dark cars, PB say it really makes a difference they also said that its rare for them to rate a colour enhancing wax like this.
    Thanks

It used to be and hopefully will be an addiction for me again merc, but I find putting top coats on much more relaxing than using a DA to correct my paint lol.
    Thanks
