Effects of a s60r exhaust manifold on an 850 T5R

As the title says, I have a complete s60 r setup with turbo etc,

But I have decided to put the turbo on another car, so what effects would just putting the exhaust manifold on have?

    I'm assuming less lag/quicker spool.

    Any feedback would be great!

It's freer flowing, but on it's own probably won't show a noticeable difference.

    Google says....

    http://www.ardideas.com/R-Exhaust-Manifold-_p_191.html

In 2004 Volvo introduced the R exhaust manifold for the S60R and V70R which were the high output models for that platform. This new exhaust manifold design incorporated a better merge of the individual runners along with reduced intrusion into the collector.

In short this manifold provides more laminar flow of the exhaust gasses into the turbo which provides earlier spooling and higher power output when compared to the standard 5 cylinder manifold. Can accept both TD04 and K24 turbochargers without modification.

If you're upgrading your turbo this is a great addition!

dont know about the s60 manifold but when I put a me7 one on mine I noticed the difference straight away, it felt more positive under acceleration and spool up seemed reduced a tad!! my advice would be fit it anyway, even if you dont feel the benifits straight away itll come into play when you fit additional mods ;-)

    full respray..plenty of body mods..comets..ray cat back noise pipe..decat and wrapped downpipe..me7 exhaust manifold..3" throttle body with ported inlet manifold..blue injectors..adjustable fuel reg..reverse intercooler pipework..19t..open cone air filter..255 fuel pump..m-r-p short shift..boost gauge..unknown remap..adjustable suspension..lightweight crank pulley..n/a cams..stripped out interior..and a heavy right foot

ME7 manifold is the same as the t5 manifold Lee, it's probably the japanifold you've got.
19t, greens, 3" inlet, 3" downpipe with race cat, V70R catback, autotech map...
