volvo headunit code

Recently got a full working sc901 headunit complete with disc changer for £20, the only problem I got is that there is no code, is there a way to get the code or even bypass it, I used the 'hold 6 and turn on' to check but it is temporary using this way. Cheers in advanced for any help.

if you know the reg of the car it came from phone ur local steeler and they should give you the code free otherwise get the serial number off the unit and ring them

Not sure that they have codes

I disconnected the battery on my C70 a few times but don`t remember putting codes in

Might just have a very poor memory though!
