i'll check with dan but sure it was a 16t that was fitted..................it developed a slight misfire the day he swapped but it cured itself on the drive to the swap ( amazing what a good thrashing will cure.............haha )
i know dan did a complete gearbox flush as the box was lazy when he got it...............after the flush it was VERY responsive and one of the most aggressive auto's i've known.............by aggressive i mean it took up drive INSTANTLY and changed INSTANTLY..............

only to around 15psi with normal fuel in it misses as soon as it gets past 10 psi, i didnt quite understand how it had been mapped with a "live custom map by AES" as these cars are tuned with chips are they not? unless it has a turbo tuner ecu? which it does not. there is no manual boost controller in line with the standard boost control solenoid but it does have a different actuator. im starting to think it hasnt been mapped and just had the boost upped with the aftermarket actuator?

p.s. truly thanks guys i havent been on here 2 years as i went off forums im on retro rides and alike too, but you guys are very welcoming and friendly props to the forum

If it's boosting to 15psi, it probably is mapped, I think it would hit boost cut before that if it was un mapped, but I might be talking bolloks....lol

t5steve the gearbox is still very good one of the best auto's ive owned. i think when its in economy it hits the boost/fuel cut as its like hitting the rev limiter in my old 2.5 but in sport it just seems to miss badly with this 95 ron fuel

sure it still had a rica map when dan swapped it ( only coz we couldn't get our hands on a standard ecu in time ) .................had a full stainless exhaust on as well.............

Dan had a forge actuator on it so that probably explains one thing. It also used to flutter like mad as a result of the stupidly loud dump valve it had fitted. If there's no dump valve on it now, its gonna flutter like a mo-fo!

The 95 ron fuel will be triggering the knock sensors, hence the misfire.

I liked that car, thats my old boost gauge on the dash
