trying to locate the old owner of my new 850r

hi guys,

just wondering if anyone knew the previous owner of my new car who had the engine built or if there was a build thread for it the guy i got the car off said the previous owner was a member on here thanks guys!

That's Shrek's old R.

I rebuilt the injectors and fitted new ignition and HIDs before the old engine went bang. He and Niles fitted a V70R engine. it was running between 280 and 300 bhp.

apparently it now has a rebuilt engine with forged pistons and rods steel head gasket and i have a dyno printout for 380bhp, i dont think its a v70r engine now because it still has a distributor cap?

Old - style V70R engine mate, pre ME7. What happened to it after Dan sold it is anybody's guess.

That means its a volvo 2.3 pre me7 engine from 1997 or earlier

i wish it was still that clean now

the bonnet has all blistered paint and the passenger side looks like its had a burgondy door fitted and painted. thanks for all your help guys, also it has a td05h16g turbo fitted and running 15psi would that equate to anywhere near the power claimed?

Only one way to find out that's put it on a dyno

Dunno but mine's running 17+ psi and only makes 278.

its not really common here with t5s to run a 16g. so hope this helps

haha cheers guys, i swapped it with a non turbo 2 litre skyline, i also have a mk1 850 which now has a phase 1 v70 dash and a turbo engine thats my on going project and a 340 drift car so its in good company with the other pieces of junk i own
