    Hopefully the right choice

It's been a crazy month or so whilst driving last in my bmw 320d on business in Devon at night the sat nav took me through country lanes and through some flood water, engine stalled immediately. Managed to get myself and the Beemer back to sunny Brighton, everybody said its a new engine and it will be written off being a 57 plate car, and the impetuous person I am I bought my S60R before the insurance decision, would you believe it, they chose to replace the engine at 6-8k, so I after a week or so of ownership of the s60r I picked up the Beemer with a new bmw engine.
So the dilemma! my head says keep the BMW 320d Msport, it will not let you down, it will never miss a beat, it will be cheap to run, it does 55 miles per gallon, or my heart says get rid of the Beemer and keep the S60r, which is more comfortable, much more fun, more exclusive and I can't believe it even as a 10 year old car already gets heads turning, but is more expensive in terms of fuel, and silly little gremlins, I am already looking at a about a grands worth of maintenance over the next 6M, well in the words of Harry Hill there's only one way to find out. Darn it!! what should I do. WELL!!!, ok I will let you know looks like the heart ruled and I sold the Beemer, let's hope my ole S60R don't let me down.

That was going to be my advice, sell the Beemer!! They are capable cars but I can't shake the opinion that most of them are pretty boring, at least compared to an S60R.

    Oh, and.....

I would say keep the beemer as you know what you have or you should know.
It should be cheaper to run and more reliable because of the work it has had done to it.The downside to that answer, was it only the engine that had the damage. .If there was more damage I would only sell it to a dealer as it would not be good PR to sell to a member of the jo public.
