Thumbs up Busy with the Meguires Ultimate Wax again...

Some of you will know from Facebook that I've been busy with the Meguires Hydrophobic Polymer wax on the T5, now the weather has picked up I've given it 3 coats of this stuff in a week, allowing each layer to cure fully before doing the next one. I also machine buffed out all the swirl marks from when the specialist decided to use a dirty chamois on it in Bridgend. The results aren't too bad and to be honest, my Olympus camera doesn't do it much justice. I just need to sort the wheels out now but not yet.....

Looking good, i find the Meg's leaves abit of a smeary finish only notices when the sun is directly on it. AG Ultra Deep is my pref, although the Meg's cleaner wax is awesome as a cleaner before polishing.

Great colour t5 James and some new wheels will finish it off very nicley

The Meguires Ultimate Wax is very hard to remove and often requires some Quick Detailer afterwards to take that 'fog' or 'clouding' out of the paint that seems to stay behind. They advertise it as a 'wipe on, wipe off' product even in direct sunlight, however I always prefer to use it in the shade and on cool body panels.

, if your finding it hard to remove, then your not leaving it on long enough.

Oh I am, because I've left it on for well over an hour and it goes on really thinly. I just think it's the nature of the wax and a little Quick Detailer (the Ultimate Quick Detailer is great), not only helps remove the stubborn stuff but also enhances the shone even more, I find.

I wouldn't trust any of those drive-in car washes if you paid me, although some people quite like them. I've had a bogging dirty car and driven right past the places before knowing they use harsh chemicals and dirty chamois's.

i also use a damp applicator. always makes it easier to spread the wax. i use blackfire waxes and they come off very easy no smears or dust.
