Wow oh wow, I'm not suprised she she started without hassle.

Thats a Dam fine powerful lump in that. It was a low mileage unit from my previous 850 which i broke up when the auto box went.

The I ported and polished the INTAKE and Cylinder head she put out 297hp last time on the roller's.

The interior was sourced from a member on here if i remember correctly, AndysR helped me fit it.

I cleaned and rust proofed the underside shortly before i sold it, She should solid be under there.

That’s amazing info thanks, it does appear to be pretty solid and I haven’t seen any rust at all yet so fingers crossed

First time on the road for over 5 years. A few rattles, bumps and smells but all things considered it drove pretty well. Lot of work to do before getting mot’d

Just come across this thread and thought I'd update.

I bought N750 GEV at the end of April, sight unseen on eBay and arranged transport up to Scotland.
As you can see from the photo (hopefully uploaded) the paintwork still comes up very well for a 26 year old car, there's a few scuffs and dents on the drivers side which were there when I bought it and unfortunately it got scratched down the passenger side a couple of months ago, but this has polished up OK and is only noticeable up close.
The engine pulls like a train, and it still handles pretty neatly. She smokes a little on hard gear changes and occasionally off throttle at low speeds, will try and suss out what's causing this over the winter when she's off the road.
Suspension rattles a fair amount and does ride very hard so that's top of the list of things to get sorted, but since I've bought it I've had the timing belt/aux belts all done, clutch slave cylinder replaced after it gave up the ghost and stuck fresh Michelin PS4s on all 4 wheels.
I'd always wanted a manual T5 wagon so the plan is to keep this one long term, it's great to come across previous posts to see how much she's been loved in years gone by.

    Cheers
    Andrew

    Welcome to the forum!

Nice to see it being looked after and enjoying those wonderful Scottish roads!

    Cheers.

Based in the Trossachs, so plenty decent roads on the doorstep and even more a short journey away. Some are a bit bumpy for the current set up right enough.

To be fair it's fun even just taking it to the shops, I have never had a car get so many admiring glances and thumbs up from passers-by and my mates have all been shocked at how fast it is given it's a 7 seat brick that's older than me!

Used to holiday up in Ardnamurchan and loved stopping off on the way. Some fabulous roads!

Afternoon peeps, hope everyone is well,

If you need any info on my old car "Blacky" just ask , good to see she is still around, i did see the ebay advert and contacted the seller to forward my details to the buyer.

Smoke maybe the turbo, must be getting tired after i refurbed it years ago, running 18t, head was refurbed along with new valve stem seals and the block showed Zero signs of wear.

Last dyno when i had it she pushed 297hp 303 ft lbs from memory

Now have clk500 cab, n/a 5lt v8, it’s a nice relaxed drive gives a nice burble pottering about.
Had a couple of oil burners to now looking for something else old school diesel wise to do local trips etc.

The Clk just sits in the garage most of time.

Business is ticking along, been fairly quiet of late but it’s paying my mortgage which is all I ask
Life’s pretty good just had baby number 7 lol
