    What speedo options are there for an 850...

    Once the abs has been removed?
    I gather the Volvo unit won't work, so I've been looking at gps units.
    Any way of setting up analogue?

    obd 2 takes the speedo reading from the Gearbox. so doesnt matter if you do away with the abs

    obd1 gets it`s signal from the gearbox

    obd2 gets it`s signal from the abs rings on the front hub

    I think that's what he meant, he certainly knows that's the case because he fitted V70 clocks to a obd1 car and they didn't work.. Epic fail Gav lol

    So how can I get round this?
    How easy will it be to set up an obd1 set up?

    just wire the speedo directly to one of the ABS sensors, if your removing the ABS you can bin 3 of the sensors

    ABS has already gone. So any sensor will run the speedo? Sounds easy so I expect it isn't. Lol.

    Yup, mine is piggybacked off the N/S ABS sensor, because I don't have a speed pick up in my gearbox now.

    Doesn't seem to matter which colour wires you connect to the senor wiring either.
