p2 v70d5 help and advice with bumper trim required

hey folks, picked up my new v70 d5 last week, its a 53 reg so pre facelift. Car is in good nic but something that is really pulling it down is the rear center piece bumper trim. Its totally faded infact it almost looks bleached. I have tried back to black etc but its that bad that it wont even absorb it.

im trying to find a new one, now i thought this would be easy but many ebay/forum and google searches isnt showing much. I could ofcourse go to a dealership....but was hoping someone would have a more sensible idea.

    thoughts.

you can see it quite clearly in the pic below.

cheap black boot polish from lidl. apply once a week for a month.

after that, just wipe it over with tyre dressing.

alternatively, take it off and spray a light coat of satin black.

I use both methods, depending on what bit of trim I'm doing, although I just use tyre dressing these days.

for sure mate, worked a treat on mine. the door trims have never been painted and are just coloured as above. I've not needed to use any boot polish for nearly a year now as the tyre dressing (meguires endurance tyre gel) seems to lock the pigment in nicely.
