    New map sensor, what now?!

    Hello again all,

I've had a lovely issue with the engine management light coming on in the T4.

I've replaced the map sensor and the problem is still there, I phoned up my local specialist and he's mentioned that a possible leak within the system could be lowering the pressure out of the sensors range.

Any key areas you suggest I check? The code is: P0107 powertrain Map/barometric pressure circuit low input

Hi Rich is yours a T4 phase 2?
If so it has two map sensors one on the intercooler and one near the fuel rail tucked in between 3rd and 4th injector.. if I'm not wrong

I would assume it is the phase 2, 2001 T4 model.

Have you got a photo of exactly what i am looking for?
Also any other models that hold this sensor?

One is mounted where the top ic hose goes on the ic with a 10 or 12mm nut and the other one near the injectors.
Might be worth taking them off and have a look inside them if they are clean or not.
You should be able to see a tiny little hole when you look

Just taken a peek out there with a torch, spotted the other Map sensor, that looks a pain to get to, i'm guessing it can be removed without disconnecting the fuel rail?

IIRC just about, just give it a clean out with some neat fuel as oil can clog them up from the intake system.
