    Lambda sensor check.

I read on IPD,s website an how to for checking your 02 sensors by simply unplugging them and listening for a
    change in engine tone.
Did it to both and noticed no difference at all.
Does that suggest there both buggered.

Not got a code reader at the moment. Schoolboy error.
But it has returned a po402 in the past I think.
Funny thing is when I cleared that fault it's not come back in over a year.

That doesn't sound like the most scientific way of testing them.

    Dongle came today.
It reads po422 not 402 as previously stated.
So is it the cat or the lambdas or both?

Probably cat or rear lambda but also worth checking the exhaust manifold bolts as they can work loose sometimes.

    Thanks Martin.
Will have a play this weekend.
I'll try the lambda first to see if the code disappears.
