The Beast.Im needing some advice about my R as its started to do some strange things. When I start it up the revs go quite high then settle down but while changing gear (usually from first, second and third) the revs dart up by 200 to 400 revs then settles again. It happens when I depress the clutch and release the throttle to change up a gear. It started doing this a couple of months back and besides that the car seems okay. Hope someone can shed some light on this. Thanks

Thanked 17 Times in 15 Postsmy R did this also. I removed the egr and fitted a banking plate and it went away unexpectedly. It only used to do it for first few miles each day with engine cold.
