    remote central locking

The remote central locking on my 96 850R has started to be a pain.

It locks ok but wont unlock with the fob. I've reprogrammed the fob and changed the batteries in the fob but still wont unlock.

could it be the fob ? or the receiver ? if its the receiver where is it located ?

Hang on, have you got an 850R and a T-5R?

My 96' R did this also. Found a couple of corroded wires on the positive battery terminal, repaired them and it works fine now, might be worth a look. And the fob should chirp every time the buttons are pressed, if not the fob is faulty.

this could be because the remote button is sticking down after it is pressed.
can you hear a continuous buzzing after it is pressed, or just a plink noise?
