    Turbo whine after intercooler change??

So swapped intercooler for larger do88.se one last week, drove 60 miles to work all was fine, drove home(car doesn't move for 4 days) and an annoying whine from the turbo while it's on boost developed??? Checked everything came up with nothing. Put old I/C back on today(to rule out the I/c), whine still there!?!?!?! Seems to be holding boost(according to boost guage) no lambda light! Turbo was rebuilt and balanced 4 months ago, I'm scratching my head here people, anyone had this before? Gonna strip intake down tonight but need the car for work at 4am tomorrow so can't do too much, any advice how I narrow down what this whine is??? Thanks.

Ide be happy with a tit full, air con wont cause any probs with boost you would be surprised how easy it is to have a boost leak one last thing to check is the hoses coming out of the inlet manifold to see if you have disturbed any thing around there

Also check the elbow hose from the throttle body where the idle control valve pipe joins it, they're common for splitting there and it may have just literally started to leak

Most boost leaks cannot be seen until on boost mate that's when you hear the sound .so best get a smoke test or stick it a roller if you cannot find the leak .

Sorted, throttle body mounting plate onto intake manifold all 4 bolts were 3 or 4 turns loose! So boost was escaping, checked every hose connection at least 4 times over the last week and been under the bonnet every day trying to suss this one out!! Got in engine bay and gave everything the shake test, was baffled as it didn't show a boost dropping off on my guage but as it was so close to TB it wouldn't! Every days a school day, now to get that puny volvo I/C out! Thanks for advice lads!!!
