Welcome aboard Why not introduce yourself with a little more detail, we don't bite

The ETM is an easy clean, there's 4 10mm bolts holding it on, you can feel them underneath when you remove the intercooler to throttle pipe.

Remove them, being careful not to touch the starter positive terminal with the spanner as it gets a bit lively sometimes lol.

Unplug the electrical connector and take to a well ventilated area and give it a good clean with carb cleaner and a scourer pad.

Refitting is the opposite of removal, just be careful of the gasket that is usually stuck to one of the faces.

    What year is the car?

daft question but have you fitted new plugs or at least checked the condition of the old one. have you done a compression test. what makes you think the engine is shagged

Just curious, but if you were "past caring" then why bother to post and more importantly, why bother to clean the ETM?? Seems abit pointless to me. One minute, you don't give a sh it, the next your cleaning the ETM!! If your stupid enough to drive knowing you have an oil pressure issue then I think you may be in the wrong Forum mate. Nothing personal of course, just can't understand where your going with this?
