    A bit of guidance please

I have got my car(manual 1994 850) to a reasonable level (approx 300bhp) on the cheap, I have decided this is going be a keeper and I want to take it up a notch, my target is 400+ and my budget isn't much of an issue as it isn't going to be done in a hurry. I understand what I need brake and transmission wise, its just im not sure on which turbo beyond the td04 range is the most suitable? and easiest to fit, going to get rods but leave the rest of the block as it is, basically:

    1. what turbo
    2. which injectors
    3. do I need/should i have Water/meth injection (completely new to me)
    4. I know I need to change my intercooler, any recommendations

    Thanks

Sounds like a question for Colin, I'm sure he'll be along shortly.

Budget about 5k if your looking at that sort of power, rods pistons, intercooler, clutch, brakes, turbo, etc etc

Easiest way is get a good 2nd hand block + rods and pistons give that to an engine builder who will check it over bore it out and fit the bits, cost me about 500 for the labour for that, then it's personnel choice on the turbo/clutch and other bits but be warned chasing power figures don't nesserally mean a quick car in real terms have a good look at what others have done and pick a happy medium I'd say

I'm not getting into it, I do everything my own way, and most people would say the wrong way (but it works for me)

well, to get to where i am now i have,
    19t coldside, straight hotside
    decat,
    blue injectors
    2.5" rip
2.75 turbo inlet with ram air filter
    ported me7 exhaust manifold
    2.5" exhaust, 1 box
    map 16psi was 297bhp.

what are the next level turbos after the td04 range and do any fit on the standard volvo exhaust manifold?

A K24 would fit, but I don't think that'll see much more than 360 bhp (awaits correction) the Garrett GTX range seem to be the ones to go for if looking for big power, but it's a lot more work to get it to fit.

I use a Chinese (carrot) Gt3076 turbo that gives me 430bhp, but you would have to modify the manifold, down pipe, water and oil lines though.
