The good news and the bad news

The good news is i fitted my 3" maf with 3" piping all the way to the turbo and can say it pulled like a mother ££££er
Bad news is i got about 3 miles and i the head gasket went on me, big clouds of white smoke everywhere,

all i can say is ££££££££

Too much boost again? (serious question) Gutted for you mate, I guess the rebuild didn't include something like a Group A spec (I know they're available for Fords, don't know about Volvos) head gasket.

Just as a thought mate, are you sure it's head gasket, and not the turbo?

Dont worry frankie 850's never blow headgaskets. Itll just be condensation. Arnt the gaskets triple metal. Prob stretched head bolts. Lifted the head under boost

How do you know it's the head gasket? You could have melted a piston if it was running lean as a result of your intake system changes...

A compression test should give some answers. Only a hrs graft to whip the head off anyway

because typical blow, white smoke out the back, rough running, water out the expansion bottle and water in the oil
