If you've been keeping an eye on this thread on T5D5, you may have noticed that trying to get these calipers to fit has been a bit of head££££ for old Timmy, as they are not quite the same as the off the shelf kit you would buy. But he's managed to get these AP calipers that I bought to fit using the 330x32mm discs, behind Volans, without spacers, and without affecting the steering lock! Well Done Mr W!!

A little pic of test fitting:

    All done!:

Some interior bits and bobs left to do, a couple of vents and things and an airbag doobry to sort out.

I have some headlights to send Tim, and some other odds and sods, including a new tailpipe to weld on the Miltek catback.

I'm just waiting on my gauge pod to arrive from Viva Performance (taken months, literally!).

And were very very very nearly there!!

Stunning work here Chris, you truly have saved this vehicle and credit to Tim for the attention to detail! Can't wait to see the car in the flesh, will have to make a special trip over to the vine when you're next attending with this.

fallen slightly behind on the updates!

This was the last update from Tim:

You can't get a new scuttle panel anymore, so Timothy decided to give the original some love.

    Not touched in 17 years:

    Touched in 17 years:

Some flame brushing. Yes, flame brushing. Using a blow torch. Yes, a blow torch. Via flame:

Brake cleaner, scotch pad, flame brushed and armorall:

Original instrument panel reinstated. The x70 series cluster really doesn't belong in an 850:

    Need some new bulbage:

    Blinding!:

The gauge pod I ordered from Viva finally arrived after 3 months of waiting!! And so begins the ballache (for tim :-) ) of fitting, professionally(!), the gauge in the door:

In textured, plastic primer, to match the dash texture:

Remove the door, to make it easier to make a nicer job of running the cables. Here lurks beasties! P.S. I DID NOT weld this! LOL:

    The door:

Tims done an absolutely excellent job of installing the wiring for the boost/afr gauge, you wouldn't know it wasn't factory:

    Done:

It's a shame he didn't do the work himself as most people on here are home mechanics.

But this thread show what you could do with a blank cheque
