Do you want a bowl of milk to go with that? What a snide comment to make on a great project. The work Tim has done for Chris is a bit above & beyond your average home mechanic & Chris has borne the cost in in order to get himself a true monster 850. It takes more than a socket set & a haynes manual to get a car like this one. But do feel free to post up your own project thread so we can see how you get on eh?

Chris, having seen it pre- Tim at Grantham last summer you fellas have done a great job, all the best, Morgan

Are you going to the Gaydon VT meet on April 12th, it would be nice to see it in the flesh and get a few pics and steal some ideas from you?

You can get 100 in third easily changing the box on some of the 6sps , plus rev raised.

That is a bang out of order post!
I for one love seeing what is happening with this car as it's my ex. The mans paying good money to see it's done right!
If I could of afforded to keep this car up to scratch like Chris has, I would have. I'm only too happy to see this progress into the car it has!

It has an M56 from a S60T5 (whether that makes much difference??) Not sure on the rev limit, I haven't hit it yet.

    Edit: Just asked Tim, 6900rpm.

Everyone's entitled top their own opinion mate. If your not a fan of how I've gone about things, then that's cool.

I don't make any apologies for not doing the mechanics myself though. It's not what I do. But to say most people do all their own work (particularly tuning work) on here is a vastly inaccurate assumption.

As for the blank cheque comment; Really?? You'd be incredibly surprised at how much the entire labour bill has been. Over 80% of the build cost so far has been parts.

Where and when is that mate?

Weekend stuff is difficult at the moment. I'm working away during the week a fair bit, so kind of got to spend the weekends with the wife and kids if you know what I mean! But i'll try for sure.

Next sat it's only a few people and were popping to the local breakers who usually have a good stock of Volvos. Meeting on top the hill in Portsmouth (southwark hill) where burger van is.

I may try and organise a quarterly meet

I'm going to order a DO88 RIP kit. The GWE stuff doesn't fit very well at all. The GWE maf to turbo pipe I bought ended up in the bin, it was miles off fitting correctly.
