    '97 850 OBD compatability question...

    Just a quicky (ooh-err)

I'm asking for someone on another forum...

Is the OBD on a 97 850 compatible with generic code readers like torque etc.?

That's sort of what he's after... He thinks he's got a knackered lambda - would it show the code on torque?

I thought the home made thingy was for the socket in the engine bay?

He's got the socket under the coin tray.

Happy to be corrected mind, I don't know much about the old stuff

Does it have one of these or is that only for the older 850's?

AFAIK, it's only the older ones. The one I'm helping with has an OBD socket next to the handbrake.
