    tidy up Blacky

Bin a little quiet on the forum past few days as ive bin tidying up the underside of blacky, (thanks to t5pete's thread) i decided to give her a good go over underneath,

I cleaned it all down and rubed various small patches of surface rust down treated then painted. main area's i came across where above the fuel filter, lips of the sills where inner and outer join, and rear chassis raill either side of the fuel tank (i havent had a estate) that hasnt had rust there.

Anyway all the area's above were superfisial and a quick wire brush down was all it took, also whilst i was there i painted the rear beam.
Tank straps i thought id try yellow lol i think it looks quite nice.

Blacky on the whole is certainly very clean and im certainly glad i took the trouble to underseal her all.

Nice job Gavin, dig the yellow tank straps, worth the time on an often forgotten part of the car.

You should have sprayed the underside in luminous yellow paint. Mind you, that would be Plod bait if ever I've seen it........

Looks great but beware of the hammerite, isn't the best stuff to use, out R is being SORN, up on axel stands she goes, we are using dinnitrol products to underseal and wax, did you use any rust inhibitor?
