leaking from the expansion tank cap

Hello. I have recently had the coolant flushed and new coolant put in the car.

I noticed the coolant level dropping. I thought that was maybe still air in the system. But then I heard a hissing coming from the cap.

I put a tissue arround it and the tissue has become stained with coolant.

Is it simply that I need a new cap. Or can I do something with the current one to make it seal better.

For what they cost I'd probably just buy a new one.

Is the level at the upper mark or above ,if above it will push it out when the engine is hot.

Mines just been doing the same got a new cap and was still doing it had a closer look and there's a hairline split in the tank that's hidden when the caps on, new ones arrived today off the bay, as for the caps original caps were grey but they were splitting so Volvo had better ones made as a free upgrade and theyre green!

Hello all. Im thinking that the water pump could also be leaking. After a rather spirited drive today I came back to the car to.discover a large puddle of coolant under the car.

Where abouts on the car is the water pump located.
