    How to get more power

    whats the best way to get more power out of the 850 t5 im not a fan of puttin them bleed valves on? whats your views?

    What they said! A remap, also a less restrictive exhaust from the cat backwards would help get rid of heat faster. Without a cat back you would be lucky to break 260 hp with remap only

    ok sounds daft but i thought you had to chip the 850s? thought it was newer stuff you could only remap?

    You can get a ready chipped ecu for 150 quid

    Depends on your budget tbh but a chip is usually the most popular start of the quest for power.

    Depends what you mean by chip. Remapping is an alteration of the boundaries set by the software. How you achieve this is largely irrelevant. To my mind chipping means physically removing the control chip and replacing it with another (with different parameters). I am not sure you can reflash the chip in the 850 or not, but it doesn't really matter.

    Dave that's exactly what Hamish does lol flashes a chip and solders it back on

    Hlm or buy a ready chipped ecu from members on here or other forums, they do crop up from time to time, also fleabay
