    oil temp & pressure sensors.

I am having my engine rebuilt as we speak. Just wondering where to fit senders for oil pressure & temp. Given I have the SBC colour - I was wondering if I can use these?

    http://www.blitz-uk.co.uk/Product-25.aspx

Most importantly I need to know where to tap the sump or oil lines for either of these values.

I think a trip to your local hydrulic hose firm is on the way to rummage around their stores.
Good to hear its on the way back.

How complicated can it be, you unscrew the original pressure sensor, screw in the adapter, screw the original sensor and whatever other sensors in to the adapter, job done, don't overthink things Dave.

I'm sorry - It was probably unnecessary but I wanted to be sure. To my eternal shame - I didnt actually know that the single pin thing was the pressure sensor.

Sadly my ABN AMRO account doesn't have enough Euro's in it currently so I'll need to wait.

Do you run the oil temp sensor out of the same adapter?

Yes James - I span a shell on number 2 at the start of July. TBH I thought everyone knew my new engine went south last year?

I didn't know you broke your engine since you gave me a spin in it last year in Leominster. Mind you Dave, you probably push that 2.3 T5 to and past it's design limits from what I could tell.

How did it happen, was it just sheer power that broke something? Perhaps you could put in a 2.4 T5 engine?

I think oil came in to it or the lack of oil pressure.
