Exhaust manifold repaired... And more. All gaskets manifold to turbo replaced, plus crack in up pipe welded.
Car is SO MUCH quiter and feels like it spools up quicker. Gawd knows how much it was blowing before. Initially it was noisy when cold only but had got much worse over 18 months.

The rad on my 96 850R Auto is leaking. It's getting worse and I'm going to have to sort it soon! It seems to be leaking from the DS side, where the ribbed plastic part is crimped onto the rest.

I'm gutted that I can't get an aluminium, do88 one for it - my fault for preferring auto, I guess?

When I salvaged the top hose from my V70, to fit to my 850 T5, the union broke off the rad, so I can't even use that.

So now it's a toss up between aftermarket or genuine Volvo?
Have to say, I'm leaning towards genuine, as I'll be saving some pennies by fitting it myself.....

I have an aftermarket one from PFV waiting for fitting. Sure it will do the trick.

whichever way you go with the part, don't even consider not getting new seals and clips. whilst they aren't cheap they can pop off if not renewed.
for security always best to put on a 25mm hose clip over each clip so it cant come apart regardless.

When I do it, I want to do it right! Already have a new expansion tank and sensor. I'm planning to fit a set of blue silicone pipework, a new thermostat, stainless clips everywhere and maybe even a thermostat housing, as mine looks a little corroded. Is there an "off the shelf" clip kit for this - and is there anything I've missed?

I looked at Mikalor clips, but was disappointed to see that the screw isn't stainless!

PS: I *LOVE* stainless and blue is my favourite colour. I'm doomed!!

Yeah, Hi Grips would be my first choice. Seems daft of Mikalor to use a zinc plated steel screw on a stainless clip? It's just asking for bimetallic corrosion, if nothing else, surely? Or am I missing something?

Can't beat a bit of worm drive, IMHO As long as it's 100% stainless (A2 good, A4 better), I'm a happy bunny!
