I have some 4" flexi in the shed, I'll be more than happy to log my ait's with and without it. I'll even tape it to the end of the filter to make sure it's pulling some air through it, rather than just pointing it at the side of the filter.
I have 3" pipe that points at the filter, now it has a couple of bends in it, but I wouldn't call it twisted, it is also mounted where the old cold air feed was, so has a ram air effect as well. TBH your car's so slow anyway, it won't make a lot of difference for you.

And what factual evidence do you have that the sweed is slow?

I've kept up with and had to back off whilst following you up to the M27 from the Vine, and don't try and say you weren't trying, because all sorts of ££££ was coming out of your exhaust, and it had that lovely cat smell, you only get when someone's ragging their car.

Just to turn it around, what FACTUAL evidence do you have that it's fast, I see no time slips for the 1/4 mile.

You mean the 3/4 mile strip of dual carridgeway leading to the M27? while the engine was cold? an engine with 200+k miles on it that I won't thrash until it's up to temp. The smell was more likely the ecu warming the cat, was it not?

You should smell it now - it's buggered lol. New downpipe in the new year.

The engine wasn't cold, it had been running for 15 minutes whilst we were chatting. If you want factual evidence that your car isn't slow, we can do that when I get to the Vine tomorrow, and your (wife's) car's still warm.

Rob warms his car before leaving, I'm to cheap to waste that much petrol lol.

If you want to go for a spin in the sweed, you're more than welcome but I'm not racing on public roads

Would hardly be a race yeah, I'll go for a ride in the Sweed, then take you out in the R, just so you can compare.

Sorry mate, just comparing to your wifes Volvo, only fair, if you want to compare your car to mine, then bring it on, but you will look very silly.

How is 15.3 seconds quicker than 14.5?
