you can use the nivomat mounts with standard shocks so no mate. all you need is springs and shocks (from a unimog)

Best advice is use the best quality you can afford to and do it fast because no one likes a V70 with XC90 rear ride height, before you know it the local estate agent will be offering to help rent out the space in your wheel arches to families on a budget

there are different oe part numbers for the rear shock top mounts. the nivomat ones are wider with a rubber insert.
a bit like the difference between the p1 v70/850 shock mounts.

if martin said they were ok, then you should be alright though.

    Perfect fit mate.

From what I can work out, the dome at the top of the OE shock is slightly smaller than the NIV but I'm talking a mm or two. I've had no movement or noises from them as yet and it's been a year.
I know you can't use nivs on standard mounts as it'll ram the mount through the floor with the extra load.

kingsford, strongly consider fitting bilstein b4 with the lesjofors lowering springs . I really should make up a kit for this but not enough time, and at our price the set of 4 bilsteins is a steal......

Yes, as far as I can tell the kit has held out well and is still ok.
