Thanked 2,643 Times in 1,928 PostsDon't tow an auto without the driven wheels off the ground or the engine running with the box in neutral unless it's literally round the corner and at slow speeds as you will kill the box! Best and safest route is to always have the driven wheels off the ground imho.
For clarification the owners handbook states that an auto must only be towed up to a maximum speed of 10mph for a maximum of 20 milesLast edited by AndysR; Saturday 7th December 2013 at 22:27.
