I've always been a bit against 'performance exhausts' because the thingd conjurers up images of some Chav in a Vauxhall Corsa or with a stupid body kit and a bad paint job.

Graham, your experience just reinforces this negative feeling towards performance exhausts. I hope you can get it sorted out....

What perfect timing this thread is, as I have been talking recently with Graeme about a full system on my 850R and have no doubt he won't leave me with a drone but I was worried.

I did try and persuade Graham to get his made by Graeme, but he was worried about fitting it, even though I said I'd do it for him.

That's what I want, but can't even hear it flat out, just the engine.

Mate I'm so sorry to hear you're not happy especially as I along with Lee recommended them. I'd try the extra resonator suggestion just after the cat to see if that helps remove the drone and perhaps a larger silencer where you have that rather small one. Fingers crossed they fix it for you mate

Good idea for a thread Graham, if a lot of money is spent and the thing drones at the speed limits then no-one is happy.

Here is mine, the quality of the shots are a bit rubbish but I copied the images from the TME website also.

    Attachment 23128

    Attachment 23129

    Attachment 23132

    Attachment 23130 Attachment 23131

    A 70 mm / 2.75” system with a 100 mm tail, basically two silencers and a cat.

Being an auto it can drone a little as you are slowly getting up to speed, but once at the speed limit it’s fine to sit there quietly. Sounds good to me also ticking over and when you give it some – see post #84 and #94 of my project thread below.

Absolutely Gutted for you Graham.... You've driven mine and you Hated the "Drone" but mine is loud anyway. Gave me a Thumping headache after I got it done but now I'm used to it.

They should be able to make it as loud or a quite as you want it mate, try not to feel too down hearted I'm sure they will fix it as the last thing they want is an unhappy customer.

I know how you love your car mate and I feel for you right now especially after we talked a few weeks ago, you were worried back then.

I had a power flow made for the saffy a few years back and I told them I want no drones as it will ruin the car for me. My dad was even surprised at how quite it was. It hasn't done much mile but apparently they said the more you drive it the more quite it will become due to all the suit deposits.

im sure they can sort you out. Dont be to down hearted.
    Thanks

Good point that - the walls of the exhaust fill up with crap and dampen the sound a little

Have to say My Ferrita doesnt drone on the P2.5 V70, noise level is similar in the car to the OEM exhaust only a bit deeper in sound and thats right up through the rev range, I think wife would have strangled me if it had been droney
