Surely before you paid for this exhaust you went for a good test drive ??? I would have.
I would have been parked on there door step this morning wanting them to fit a bigger first silencer.

You don`t need to be a rocket scientist to see from your "new" exhaust to going to be loud.

I agree with Graeme you just need a bigger first silencer simples.

Going by there reply, they sound like a very good company to deal with, just chill out, take it back next Tuesday and let them put a bigger silencer on it. You sound like it's ruined your life, don't worry, be happy. Some other outfits would of just told you to sod off.

Graham your not bothering any one so chill out dude what were saying is keep calm and get it sorted any thing can be done and there is no such word as carnt I too have had things go worog or needed sorting again its just a case of keeping calm and getting them sorted they said they will try and rectify the pronlem which is great dont accept a 3rd box get the first box to be larger then go for a drive with themnand see how it is.

That's gutting Graham, I can see where your coming from, I bought my car with a very poor custom system with 1 silencer & I hated it. My mrs refused to get in it as it was loud. She's not very impressed with it now but in all honesty she expects cars to be quiet like her 1.4 Ibiza! Mine doesn't have the down pipe but I have a straight through decat pipe with only the 2 rear silencers which I admit are a very good size, in fact they're massive & visible from under my rear bumper which has been picked up on by few of my mates.
It's a price I'll happily pay for the sound my system gives, I love it! No drone at any speed, just a growl when the pedal is pressed.
I wouldn't go for a noise killer or whatever they're trying to sell you. Just get them to build you a decent silencer instead of that puny thing.
My future plan is to put in a 100 cel cat which I guess will quieten it even even more.

my old saffy and then my s70r had a straight through with de-cat and only a small box at the end, sounded epic on boost, my current exhaust only has an aftermarket cat and a box at the back and it sounds ferrari like on over run, best sound ive heard yet imo

I never said anything about my volvo being quicker, and no not a 12 pot, it sounds different to anything i've heard before and I don't know what make it is

The chap who works for me has a mk3 2.2 tdci Mondeo, he has de-cated it and has also had a sports exhaust on it, and seriously it sounds the nutts going up the road lol

Sometimes it can be really upsetting and frustrating when you put so much in to your car and you feel someone has ruined it, it can be embarrassing for a lot of people to have this sort of issue and you want it sorted asap. You also feel betrayed by the person who has made the issue for you and also let down by the promises they made.

I know exactly how Graham feels, let's have some sympathy here!
