Not wanting to hijack your thread with talk of abrasive equipment but the new version is better still.

It's not hijacking, I think it's all very relevant.

    Glad you approve mate.

Might be worth its own thread, there's a fair few members here that use stuff like this regularly and it could be handy to compare and share knowledge/experiences with this sort of thing. I'll start a thread later.

It will have seam sealer over a lot of the joins, then stone chip followed by paint, much like the volvaxo.

Moving onto the front now, it's not easy to see what's going on here, but basically there will be three box sections all inside each other, nightmare to try and work out what order to weld in, I've welded a couple of bits then think, ££££, how am I going to weld the next bit in, so out with the grinder and start again.....lol.

Looks OK to me, Ive seen 'Specialists' charge £££ for welding that looks worse than that, Doesnt matter what it looks like so long as its got good penetration, Small bit of time as you say with a disc and it will look sorted.

Its nice when you put a weld down that dosnt need dressing though. Ive worked with lads who spend more time grinding there welds than what they do welding. Not what you expect from a skilled welder.

A good weld looks ok coz it penetrated both pieces that are being weld. Pigeon ££££ welding has no penetration.
