Only a quid to try it out so not a disaster if it doesn't work.
I've actually got a role of that stuff, but I'm going to be using latex as it stretches quite nicely

So, taking advantage of the air system on the car, I now have a pneumatic clutch on the rear engine, I still have to sort out activating it, but at least I now know it will work ( so up yours all you doubters . )

    Nice workaround.

Is the actuator smooth or does it activate quite quickly?

Don't know how it will work yet, all I've done is run an air line to it, next I need to fit a 3 port valve and a throttle on the exhaust side, I probably won't get around to doing it for a while, I'm just glad to know that it will work

It might be worth finding out how they work on commercial vehicles as my old Volvo FL7 had an air actuated clutch which was pedal operated and was progressive in it's operation. So shouldn't be too difficult to rig up.

How fine a control do you have or is it just pressed or depressed not that it'll matter you'll just have to put a bit of revs in before releasing

Just had a quick test with both engines, and it's a bit difficult to control at the moment as I have the air pipe going to the compressor in the workshop, and just controlling it off a switch, but it works,

I'll go and get some petrol for it in a bit and try and take a video of it.

Fitted my tank and tidied up the pipework,

And seeing as the Tank was in, it would be rude not to try the car with both engines, I don't have a video, but I turned the car around which means forward and revers gears and didn't notice any difference in driving it, so I would say that's a success then

And here she is up on ramps, all ready to tackle the front engine exhaust system, and finish the rear arch on this side.

Most of the exhaust tacked up, hopefully tomorrow I'll work out how I'm going to hang it, then just need wait for the silencer to arrive.

So this is where it pops up from under the fuel tank.

then over and to the side of the gearbox.
