I'm guessing (as he only has one side with an end plate) there will be some more aerodynamic honing to occur

I haven't decided on the shape of the end plates yet but the wing doesn't stick out past the arches, so technically it should be ok.

Waiting for more air cylinders to arrive and some aluminium so that I can make the proper brackets to replace the temporary ones, but here's a test of the air brake with pneumatics.

Whilst I'm still waiting for my aluminium to turn up, I thought I'd have a quick play with the front splitter.

I'm now open to suggestions for a way to cover the space between the bumper and the splitter, my initial thoughts are either lycra or latex, I have a sample of both on the way, anybody think of something else?

A fibre glass upstand on the lower splitter that fits inside the bumper. As the splitter lowers mor of the fibreglass upstand us exposed so widening the air dam. Don't think a fabric is going to be able to handle the force pushing on it at high speed. Even if the fabric gasket doesn't fail, the mounting points probably will. Just my opinion, but I think it'll need to be rigid.

I know exactly what you have in mind, but I'm not sure how I could make it, but every new idea is something else I can think about. my plan with the lycra and latex samples was to make some frames for them and fix them to the t-5r and see how they perform.

Cool, fit in an arduino or something like that with a G meter or link to brake pedal and you can have controllable trim/airbrake

Colin - Regarding the material to cover the splitter gap, maybe that rubber webbing that is sold as anti slip mat in £ shop would be an ideal bridging material, it's cheap waterproof, pretty tough and is a web to let air through plus folds (or rolls) up ok, would also look pretty cool.

    This stuff: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Large-Roll-A.../dp/B00ILT8NWE

Only a quid to try it out so not a disaster if it doesn't work.
