    need clutch advise

So my clutch has started to slip in second when the boost comes in.

So I guess I need to think about a replacement.

Im running a 15g with hlm map.. Not going to go for silly power.

I have read that the t5 r clutch is better and rated for more power. Is that correct.

Are any modifications needed to fit it or is it a straight swap.

I would say that a standard cluch would be just fine, but if the R parts are similarly priced then it's a no brainer.

I was always under the impression the t5 and t-5r were exactly the same, the only difference between the two was the overboost facility.

who knows. Been running standard T-5 clutch with a RICA 280 map (from HLM) for serveral years and nearly 100k, never had any issues with it. Tyre slip in 3rd gear is an issue under boost but no probs from the clutch.

Nice one frankie. I will take a look. It still drives fine whilst pottering around. And I haven't been putting my foot down very much. Let's hope it lasts will after Christmas.

they told me a week after that is has a replacement number now , but it is more than the OE sachs one you had anyway, so technically you can still get a genuine one.
