    Errrrrr I think ive found my problem!

    I was about to start with the gearbox change, got it up on the ramp and noticed this little problem



    So has anyone got a sdrive shaft lying around??
    Driverside....

    the Torque haS KILLED THIS ONE.

    You're lucky it didn't fall out all the way and hole the floorpan on it's way out the back of the car.

    you lucky fella. id rather change a shaft that a gearbox
    s60 2.4 t5 eibach springs,up rated rear anti roll bar, poly bushed wishbones, poly lower engine mount, fmic, bmc air filter, 3" decat, 2.5" stainless exhaust,hlm remap 328bhp,

    Just shows its not build like a Jag,well you now have a in stock gearbox,can you just fit a new end unit ?.

    Or get one of these .

    At least it's the hub end so no bits went into the gear box.whats the abs sensor looking like ?.

    its the sensor that fits in the steering knuckle - but that's not important right now.

    I have spare ABS sensors & a short half - though I fear that this is the one with the bolt in the end not the nut. You need to put a screwdriver in the disk vents to stop it rotating and a heafty bar to get the nut off.

    That's what I did, but if you've got an impact driver, then even better.

    I guess it depends how thick the socket walls are ,3/4 drive or 1/2 drive impact socket or not.

    Yep, already sourced a driveshaft, it should be back on road Wednesday, then I have to refit rad with new coolant the intercooler, with new (expensive RIP kit) and alternator

    Wow that was certainly lucky that's the only damage that did. Atleast it's a simple ish fix though rather than a box change.
