    96 850

    evening chaps,
    long time no speak
having an issue with a car ,?
does anyone know the process to bypass the 850 alarm/immobiliser ?
    got a 2.5 850 on a 96,
replaced the battery and since connecting up the new battery the alarm sounds and immobilised it,
i can get it to start but cant stop the indicators flashing and the horn sounding,(i unplugged the horn)
i dont understand why its screaming its head of as the alarm wasnt set etc, theres no key fob as it hasnt worked for years,
just lock /unlock with the key in the door, old school lol.
the owner says they have charged battery before etc and replaced a battery in the past with no issues,
    any ideas ?
    thanks in advance.

    Hi Bud,

Do the following to connect the receiver unit, using flat spade connectors on the leads.

Remove and discard 210/211 relay, driver side under dash, Connect appropriate spade plug spade connectors to the control unit leads. (Note one needs cutting narrower) and make one spade to spade lead.

Plug into the vacant sockets as follows:

Spade to spade to 50E 50F to enable starter solenoid
    Power - 30K (red)
    GND - 31 (black)
    Lock - AL2 (yellow/black - narrow connector.

Alternatively you can get hold of one of the none Alarmed relays they're red and a double relay like the alarm one.

you can just pull two fuses........6 and 16 leaves you without central locking but resolves your issue for now
