Not cheap. But if it is a semi long term fix then not silly money if you care about keeping your car in shape.

4 quid for a tin of satin black... semi-long term fix? still to be decided how long it lasts but it looks great.

Actually quite like getting all fanciful and dreaming up bigger projects to give the car a bit of a lift. Who doesn't?

We all love to dream! it's what keeps us going sometimes... there is nothing wrong with throwing ideas out there and creating discussion.
Weather those ideas ever materialise doesn't matter, it's the enjoyment of thinking about them that counts!

I have so many ideas I could keep the forum going for weeks and have also had many which I've forgotten!

If it's any help I did buy some Plastic Paint a few years ago to Paint my Mud Flaps Black and various other parts... They never needed doing again and looked like new, cost about £7 for the tin and have never faded.... Pm if your ever interested.

Until then keep on dreaming and enjoying life, it's what keeps us men going!

Did you need to clean other products off first? Any primer?

Plus if all my ideas began and ended up with the sensible or cost effective option I wouldn't own an R in the first place.

Always clean thoroughly, otherwise products won't adhere properly, or in extreme cases could chemically react. Use panel wipe/IPA (Isopropylalchohol) for the final cleaning step to make sure you've got rid of grease, silicone etc.

Happy to be proven wrong, and it sounds like Iancho has the experience to do that, but I wouldn't trust a jet wash near my trims if they'd just been flashed over with some plastic paint. But then I am a cynical ££££
