    s40 knocking suspension

today i looked at a mates car, its a 2004 s40 2.0d. i removed the wheels and its got a new wishbone and has no play in any suspension components. the noises its making is terrible. sounds as if somthing is realy loose and very worn. only thing i can think of is a worn bearing at the top of strut. has anyone come across this issue on a s40

subframe bushes, also check exhaust if it's still hanging (had it once that the exhaust was the cause with it's banging in under the car whilst driving)

definitly isnt exhaust knocking. its coming from the front passanger side. im not wanting to get to involved with it but would like to point him in right direction

i had a quick look and they seemed ok. this knock is so bad that youd think you could see what was worn
