well after changing all my ht leads and dizzy cap and the idle control valve i went and had a look at my sensor i found that my temp sensor was not volvo it was a cheap remake so i got one from main stealers when i removed the thermostat housing to get to my sensor i found the gasket for the thermostat was in the top housing and the stat had gone rusty as it was not fitted properly so i went and got a new one and fitted now the car ran smooth as but the Saturday night my front breaks decided to start locking on so after 10 months after having new calipers fitted i need more new ones again this car is starting to kill me now money wise as thats now 3 grand in 4 months does any one know where i can get replacements for a low cost as this car has taken all ower savings thanks Name: 1450874_557995854277429_1331185276_n.jpg

Its a shame because this is how a car and a manufacturer can get a bad reputation. Hope you get it sorted
    Thanks

If you do go for replacement calipers you may need to find out what actually caused them to seize on

the most likely thing to seize the calipers on if they were new is probably the rubber brake hoses. if they were not renewed and are still original what can happen is a flap of rubber inside the line can become detached causing a makeshift line lock - to the effect that you can push down from the pedal, but the fluid cannot come back up to release.

you might well find that if you undo the hoses, and are able to push the calipers back in easily it would confirm this.

Sadly this is what happens when a motor is full of aftermarket parts!

You can never catch up.........the crap parts wear out quicker than one can save up for them.

    Pay once ...fit once...fit Volvo!
