I've seen different results mate. I'm not saying you're wrong but from what I've seen and been told by mappers, there's a 50/50 chance an me7 (or ME7.1/ME9) will throw a fit with a decat.

If (ahem) I get a remap, I'll have the rear lambda turned off, just incase I decide to get a decat pipe.

I spent £732.50 getting rid of the annoying orange triangle

If there is a 50-50 chance of the car throwing a wobbler with a decat pipe, I will bet the house that I will be in the unlucky 50!!

Having made sports systems from the very beginning for Volvo's 'T5's Ferrita in Sweden make a 3" downpipe to the cat then nominal 2.5" throughout, the 'cat-back' having two straight thro' silencers. The choice of two boxes is to meet Nordic countries' very strict noise regulations.

Ferrita have their own in-house dyno and continued, extensive testing has always shown best outputs from 2.5" material 'til well into the 300s.

It is a fact that given any individual system for a turbo car the further back you put any given silencer the more effective it is in noise reduction.

In my own experience with several of my own cars removing the first, centre box makes very little difference to the sound, reduces weight and slightly improves outputs..

    Don.

It will fit fine,it's a TME system so it's telescopic for a better word.

I do still have the old system I removed from the S60.

You,d be better off going for a dp with race cat, that way you won't have to worry about warning lights, and you won't have to swap it over for the M.O.T..

    Harvey,
looks like I am not far from you!

When you say you still have the old exhaust from the S60 is that a standard or an after market one, if so are you looking to sell it?
