Not yet mate, don't think I'll be able to put the purchase off much longer though, I'm reaching the limits of the car without one.

you can certainly say without one it is preventing you taking it further forward at present , and you are probably not getting the full benefit of the other mods u already have.

But you could be reaching the limits of your wife's goodwill if you buy one.

    Regards, Don.
Fair enough Don, 'much' is a relative term. After speaking to Jan Woth about his Priscilla project the opinion I came away with was that a cat back was a 'must' to go with a remap.....only about 257 bhp max without a cat back and 270 hp with.........and a downpipe/cat would not give much more.

I checked this out with TME, they thought that a software update and a full system would get my car up to 280 to 285 hp and 420 Nm plus improved response. That difference is in the region of the 13 hp you mentioned.

It depends on how much you want to spend for that 10 - 15 hp I guess.

Right, I have made my decision on who I'll be getting my exhaust/downpipe from, one question though, I can either have a 2.5" downpipe or a 3" one.....what are the pro's/con's of each please.

Is this relevant for diesels also? As i'm planning to do a 2.5" stainless straight through system on mine soon

diesels dont need a cat to pass mot. diesel have a smoke test and not emision test.

Because I think you'll hate the extra noise a 3" makes I'd advise going for the 2.5". The gains you'll loose out from not getting the 3" won't be noticeable at your stage of tune.

That's exactly what I was wondering Andy, as you know I'm not after a mega loud system.

Powerspeed is local to me and I know plenty of people who have used them. I've never heard a bad word said and the work I've seen has been of very high quality.

3" every time. they adjust the silencer sizes to suite. i had remove one of my silencers as it was quieter than standard.
