    Central locking problem

Hi all this is my first time on the forum and i have a question to ask you all before i got to a dealer. Ive had my v70 R for just under a month now and its perfect but it has 1 problem which is the central locking, it wont lock or unlock with the remote fob, and before i get replies asking have i changed to battery the answer is yes 2-3 times lol. as i have no door locks i have to and unlock the car via the boot and climb through and unlock the rear door so i can unlock the drivers door which is now taking its toll on my back.
Can anybody help me out or point me in the right direction please

    Thanks

Have you been through your fuses?
What year V70R..? Wonder If it is an older model you might need to reprogram the fob like an 850. have you looked in the manual?

v70 fobs cannot be reprogrammed like an 850's and dependant on what dealer you go to they either can/cannot reprogramme them at all

you need to get hold of a remote testing reciever, to see if it is sending a signal.

on a v70 r reg it should be a pin code to reprogramme.
1999 is when they started having software to code them.

    we do this one

most parts departments i have worked in have one . might be worth asking because it can help identify it the reason new batteries dont help when the buttons are stock down by the recieving light not going out. - a correct signal should be 1 second then stop , not constant.

Good point there.I had the same problem but using a spare fob sorted the problem.
