Rear doors not locking, tailgate, fuel flap not locking,so ordered new harness for tail gate.
Glad I did when I removed the boot trims. To find someone had Duck tape up the wires as a repair.

I think i found what was blowing fuses !.

The car had these scotch locks fitted but not for long, its one of my pet hates when i see these used. best place for these are the bin,the tow bar fitter used them but the tow bar is off this weekend.

If that was all that was causing the issue why did you go spend a fortune on a new loom havery? I would have used heat shrink crimps for that.
    Thanks

Im liking the indicators. I did mine too when I bought it, I think its one of those subtle mods that people don't notice but they know something has changed.
    Thanks

It looked like it had been repaired before,I just like to do a repair once and get it right the harness was damaged in two places as it was loose inside the roof.

The last thing I would want is it catch fire as the rear screen heater is quite high current draw, all the wires are in there.

I will say there is nothing worse than repairing a repair that someone else has done.

Strange you say that I have just orderd new wiper blades as the one on the near side is straight and is hitting the scuttle panel it should be curved one.
So you still think green is best !.

Hello there - pleased to see all the attention the car is getting - going to be a credit to you, Harvey!

That wiring is a mess in the boot, I know of one repair to the loom but not two. And I think I used insulating tape not duct tape! Good that you found the issue.

You will find a crimp connector or two around the Grom unit in the front too, it was a temporary fit that you will no doubt want to redo in time.

Martyn I still have the headlamp wiper arm here, I knew you'd bring it up and only fair, I will happily send it back up North (minus the cap that is on Harvey's car!)

Looking forward to seeing further progress!
