Well today at last I've got round to fitting the Snabb short shift kit .
    Before with stock shifter rod.

With the Snabb short shift kit .

The Snabb kit lowers the hight of the gear knob by around 20mm , it also reduces the travel from 3rd to 4th by approx 40mm .
It now fees a lot more precise when selecting gears, A very nice bit of kit will do a install thread as I did take lots of photos .

Just in case you feel you need one , http://snabbuk.co.uk/products/04-07-...ow-shifter-kit

Well at last fitted the boost pod.

The problem is it comes without any fixings to fix it to the door, so here's my way if fixing it.
Brass pin's to fix to door clips.

Then bend them to fit the shape of the pod , also cut some groves in the bars so the fiberfill can grip them.

Then a bit of paint to tidy it up.

Fitted but looked wrong to me so out came the paint.

Looks good. How did you wire / plumb it in?

It's not wired up yet that's this weekend, but the 3mm airline tube that you get with the kit is to short as it's for a L/H drive car so I got a 5m length with some unslit convoluted tube to match the tube's under the bonnet so it will blend in.

I also painted my IPD pod to match the interior. Looks a lot better.

Sorry to thread hijack - Ric@rdo, I saw your pic recently when I did a Google imagesearch for boost guage installs. Can you tell me what paint you used, as I have the same colour dash as you and I want to mount a pod somewhere around the dash.

Hi Harvey, which one is that? When I search online for PROXL bumper and trim coating only these are coming up:
    • Jet Black
    • Black 1
    • Traffic Black
    • Smoke Grey
    • Mid Grey 3
    • Mid Grey 2
    • Dark Grey (PC5DG)
    • Mid Grey
    • Light Grey

    Edit:
    found it! : http://www.capellasolutionsgroup.com...s_Plasticolour

It seems very close the original OEM color. I'm asking this as my center console is out for restoration: Option 1 cover it with carbon fiber vinyl, Option 2 repaint it. Seeing the ProXL made me thinking again.

If you want I can take photo with it on dash to show what the match is like .

Option 3 - Get it dipped in a pattern of some sort (carbon fibre being one of many options). If you've not looked in to it the options are pretty wide. Looks better than vinyl wrap IMO
