19t !!!

Hi all,
I have had an offer of a 19T but i need to know what else i have to do to let the engine run safely!!

It is a `97 V70 T5 with the B5234T3 engine and the 16T it also has the HLM304 remap from Hamish but don`t know what to expect if it is a direct fit or not as well as the mapping.

I have to do something in the turbo department as my 16T has started to let smoke out the tailpipe after 10 mins of idling .

I have just done the PCV and the Valve stem seals are ok.

Any other ideas where to go or what to do if this 19T is a no, no....

you do know a 19t is fitted to a t5 engine? just stick it on it will be fine, just dont use an mbc lol

Thanks for that Frankie ......my experience was for tuning N/A motors years ago. Although i do read a lot everywhere i just wanted to make sure it would be ok.

Would it be more laggy and if so can i overcome it anyhow?

Also the HLM 304 would it have to be on the rollers to adjust things?

a 19t aint much bigger than a 16t mate, it will work fine with your hlm304, it will be a little laggier but will push harder when on boost, just fit and forget,

I was enquiring to where i go for 2nd parts and the best bit is he only wants £160, the bad bit, it smokes so i will just buy a kit to refurbish. Done it before so no problem.

You not heard from Andy? that 18t he has is my old one it was fully rebuit at a cost of nearly 400 quid to me and only has about 8k of easy miles on it, think he only wants about 200 for it, much better buy imho

No, i have heard from anyone i have sent emails to ......I suppose so many people get let down and it does hinder those that do need these things.

If the turbo is a gooden as you say it is i can offer more as i really need one before my MOT to get it all ready for assembling etc.

Amazing, i have all this money to spend and i can`t spend it!!!

Try over on volvotuning he posts there quite a bit
