How do you lower an 850R saloon.

Chaps looking for some advice on lowering my saloon 850R, the R had lower suspension so bearing that in mind which springs do I buy.
I am looking at just a set of springs for now, eibach and h&r tell me that there kit will not lower the suspension just give me a firmer ride as the springs are uprated.
Is there a kit suited to the 850R, I only want to go 25 to 30mm lower, any advice appreciated.

lesjofors springs quote they are 40mm lower than a standard t5, so they will be about 10mm lower on an R in reality.
i think apex might also be -40mm

    The R is 15-20mm lower than a T5.

to go any lower than this, you require a full coilover kit.

Depends what your looking for, chances are your front suspension will have sagged slightly since new too so lowering springs probably won't make the front any lower but will appear to drop the rear. The best route to go down is source a set of coil overs

That said mines sitting in Koni adjustable shocks with some off the shelf lowering springs and it sits and rides really nicely

I had lowering springs and new shocks on my t5 and it was awful boarding on dangerous so went and bought some good used coilovers and it's like a different car.

Heat the springs still on the car, just keep glowing them till you get the required drop... Ghetto style...

I recommend fitting lowering springs until the Nivomats give up and then you get a lowered car like this:

This question get's asked a million times, that's why there is a search facility on the forum, If you can't be bothered to look for the answer, then why should you expect a proper answer,
post number 4 told you everything you need to know, if you can't join in the banter, then I suggest this is not the forum for you.

I fitted the Lesjofors springs from PFV and new sachs shocks on my old T5 850 and it was really good. It was a nice ride height and very decent tight ride compared to other lowered cars i have had. I had to get the tracking all set up again though. I was impressed with the lesjofors springs and so fitted some on my Toyota GT4 too.
