Hub centre bolt XC90 - part number

    Quick one hopefully.

Does anyone know the part number for replacing the V70R hub bolts on the front with XC90 ones?

Still have a clonking on selecting drive/reverse or on off throttle at low speed.
Drive shaft bolts have been tightened but with the pointers you guys have already given me and reading an old thread, I still recon they are to blame. Clonking is definitely front, think offside is loudest.

Tried eurocarparts with no luck. Tried main stealer who can't help me without a part number as it changed through the XC90 range apparently. I would assume it would correspond with an XC90 of the same age or am I wrong?
    Cheers

i though the reason of getting those xc90 bolts was to get the cone washer on them which is the difference ?

if you got a standard bolt, you would not benefit from this ?

any fastner shop or on ebay. ill see if can sort a link. youll pay more on ebay though. the advantage with these bolts is they dont strech so once torqued up they wont ever come loose or snap like the oe bolts. ive had mine in for months now and been no issues.

I have a used pair in the shed somewhere. They will need a dab of loctite before fitting. PM me if you're interested and want me to try and dig them out.

I bought the XC90 hub bolts for my 2005 V70 as I had read on here that it was the way to go. Had to go to dealer and they were not cheap!
I was in the dealer a couple of weeks later for a bit for the wifes car and happened to get chatting to the Head Tech and he said that fitting the XC90 bolts was a bad move. Apparently they let water in to the hub and the rubber washer on the bolt stops it getting out. If and when you need new driveshafts, they are rusted solid to the hub and you have to cut them off!!!
Why they are OK on an XC90 and not a V70 I am not sure.......

edit. Graeme above is correct. 1 use only. DO NOT RE USE!!

When I got my ones from the main dealer I use the parts guy said they fit them if the customer car has a ping problem. But that was over a year ago.
Might have changed by now ?.

Thanks very much. Think i'll hold out for new parts to be on the safe side though.

    Doesn't sound good.
Don't fancy shelling out for something that is expensive and may cause problems. One horror story like that is enough for me.

Might simply swap the bolt as suggested by Graeme and see how i do. If it doesn't sort it then i can try a new Volvo one.

I was meaning for the rubber cones, not the bolts. As far as I'm aware they are the same as the normal ones just slightly longer with the addition of the cones?
