you can weld them but they need pre and post heat with cast rods
s60 2.4 t5 eibach springs,up rated rear anti roll bar, poly bushed wishbones, poly lower engine mount, fmic, bmc air filter, 3" decat, 2.5" stainless exhaust, hlm remap 328bhp,
where is it cracked daz ? on the ones that have a division on the exhaust housing , a hairline crack on the middle bit is not as bad and fairly common- mine was cracked there.
anything on the outside is obviously bad .....
that one needs a bit of attention mate .........
if that was mine id drill a 2mm hole either side of the crack to stop it spreading. i would attempt to weld cast. its likley to make itworse

that sucks i will have to find a new housing to save messing lol
why dont you get a dremmel and open up the ports. chances are the crack is only a few mm deep. if it dosnt work then youve lost nothing. of a carbide tip for roughing out and finish off with a flappa wheel

Did you notice any difference when driving?.........No......most are like this it is only skin deep and heals when hot .....the housing will not fall apart.
On the T4 it appears on the outside but as said is only skin deep and it expands upon getting hot and does not make any noise....
Of course you can always spend money and get the same again in 6 months time!
Tbh iv never used the turbo mate was gonna replace the 15g but things may be changing lol
I`ve got a k24 with a crack in the wastegate housing which I saw on the rollers producing 335bhp
Cast iron housings will crack over time heaven and earth wont stop them.

Think ill have a go at porting it, see what happens to it lol only ting that worries me, if it cracks as it is... wont porting it make it more prone to cracking?
